I Am Very Dissapointed with Israel
I am not against Israel. To the opposite, I used to admire them.
There are so few Jews that contribute so much to our world and the world repay them with genocide.
They want a piece of land they call home. Given that they’re prosecuted everywhere else, we can certainly tolerate that.
Yea, Israel has a slightly racist immigration laws. However, many countries, like Arab Saudi also discriminates based on religion.
Not only that, all of our ancestors gets their land through bloodshed. These Jews, at first try to buy their land.
So yea, I admired Israel. At least I used to.
You see, in Arab-Israel conflicts, there used to be many reasons to side with Israel. Those reasons no longer exist.
In my opinion, for example, Arabs and often Muslims are harder to appease than the Jews. In my countries there are plenty of religious extremists demanding so many laws against individual freedom. More over, I cannot understand why anyone would be angry over cartoons. If people can get angry over cartoons, we’ll never know what pissed them of latter. So why bother trying to appease them?
However, most Muslims do not resort to violence and there are religious bigots everywhere from any religions.
I used to think Israel is easier to appease. If only Hamas stop killing the Israelis, then things will go right again.
Well, I was wrong.
Here is what I read in http://www.hoffmania.com/blog/2006/07/total_confusion.html
“The portrayal of Israel as the innocent victim in the Gaza conflict is hard to square with the death toll in the months leading up to the current crisis; between September 2005 and June 2006, 144 Palestinians in Gaza were killed by Israeli forces, according to a list compiled by the Israeli human rights group B’tselem; 29 of those killed were children. During the same period, no Israelis were killed as a result of violence from Gaza.”
I used to admire US and Israel because they fight terrorists. Terrorists kill civilians. Terrorists damage economy. Now, who are killing civilians? The Israel.
Israel may bitch about 2 of their soldiers that got kidnapped. However, killing thousands of civilians in retaliation is highly disproportionate. For all we know, Israel can always strike Lebanon again when a Lebanese give a bad hair cut to a Jew.
I watch the news carefully. What have Hamas did to Israel since they got elected? Hamas make a 1 sided cease fire. For months. Looks like Israel try to keep pocking them under the pretext that Hamas is so evil and need to be destroyed. Israel seized tax money taken from Palestinians, for example. That’s stealing folks.
All this time, the opponents of Israel are often really really fucked up country. Iraq, for example, is lead by dictators. Most of us would look the other way around if Israel attacks Iran, or the communist North Korea. Perhaps the people there will be better of if they lost the war because that means they’ll effectively be liberated.
I am surprised when I found out that Lebanon is a free market country.
Finally, I used to admire the Jews because I thought they’re very smart. Well, my country just got 4 gold medals in International Olympiad. What do the Israel got? Nothing. If we properly align our interests to productivity, we can be richer than the Jews. They’ve became more like the Nazi, while the rest of us have became more of what they used to be.

Said this at 7:58am:I cant agree with your conclusions concerning Israel.
Certainly, there is a disproportionate rate over deaths, but that is not, and SHOULD NOT, be the issue.
Whilst the death of innocent civilians lives is always a tragedy in any war, the facts of the matter are that this scenario takes place every day in many parts of the world.
Israel’s position is that it is flanked on all sides by muslim countries, many of them dictatorships or greatly influenced by extremist sources who have all vowed to drive Israel into the sea.
Israel has nuclear capabilities, and with it, the ability to wipe these hostile neighbors of the map, but they do not do it. On the other hand, if these hostile neighbors had nuclear capabilities, they would have no hesitation in sending them straight into Israel. these are simple facts.
This is a huge and complex problem which is being unfairly biased towards Israel in news reports.
Saying that the capture of two soldiers is almost irrelevant because of the number of innocent civilians killed is nonsense.
the facts area, that israel withdrew from this area at the end of last year, with no intention of willingly going back. Hezbollah were supposed to disarm, and refrain from any terrorist activity.
But they did NOT stick to this agreement. Neither did they comply with the UN resolution of two years ago to disarm.
Israel kept it’s side of the bargain, and Hezbollah sneaks in, kills 8 soldiers and captures 2, whilst Israel is busy in the south with the same thing happening in Gaza.
The simple facts are, these arab nations pay lip service only to agreements with Israel which they have absolutely NO INTENTION of keeping. Israel sticks to it’s side of the deal, whilst it’s supposed partner in the deal arms itself to the hilt with missiles behind the scenes.
And these missiles are stored and used in densely populated civilian areas. The civilians KNOW what is going on. They SUPPORT what is going on. But they start crying when they see that they are losing the war which THEY HELPED TO START.
These ‘civilians’ are NOT as ‘inncocent’ as they would try and have us believe with their sorry stories on the news.
These are the same people that you can see in the streets DAILY dancing and chanting support for hezbollah and hamas, burning israeli flags, shouting death to the israeli’s and all manner of other obscene behaviour which would NOT be tolerated in any decent civilised society. And their governments, armies and law enforcements sit back and watch it happening, and in many cases even indulge in and encourage.
The problem that Israel faces daily, is how much of this they will tolerate.
The fact that there is disproportionate rates over deaths between israle and gaza is not down to any lack of hostile activity. Oh no, the hostile activity is an ongoing 24/7 threat. The results are due to the diligence of Israeli security, either stopping or killing the terrorists en-route or at planning stages.
So for example, imagine you had ten seperate groups of 5 people involved in planning suicide attacks on Israel. they have set out to accomplish their task. Israel manages to intercept all 10 of them, and these people being the fanatics that they are and having setout to die anyway by suicide attack, don;t suurender, but fight. Israel kills them all.
So then we have 50 dead palestinians and zero death to the israeli’s.
BUT WHO IS TO BLAME HERE ? the Israeli soldiers who killed them en route to their death missions intent on killing civilians ? I don;t think so.
Whilst my figures are simply for example purposes, these are frequent occurences. THAT is why you can have such apparently ‘disproportionate’ rates between deaths.
And just for the record, I spent a few months in israel several years ago with my family. And NO we are not jewish.
But during the time there, three suicide bombs went off, dozens of innocent Israeli’s (including foreigners living or working there) were killed, and hundreds more injured.
One of the bombs was about 500 yards from where we actually lived.
I had no opinion on these matters prior to this experience. But having been there, seen it, and lived in it, I have every sympathy for the Israeli’s.
You don’t see israeli’s dancing in the street, burning palestine flags and shouting death to the palestinians.
But that is all you see on the other side of the border crossings.

You know what? Your argument is valid. But the same argument, to a certain extend can be said by the Lebanese too and by Palestinians too.
Lebanese, being a free market country, has little intensives to destroy Israel. Why would anyone earning money through banking want to risk life destroying some countries. The Jews used to be like them wanting to buy land instead.
For example, without Hezbollah, what would prevent Israel from keep bombing the Lebanon? Put your self in Lebanese shoes. Many of them don’t like Hezbollah.
Just a year ago, they manage to “ask” Syria out of their country. Many of them are reasonably moderate arguing that since Israel has withdrawn from their country, Syria should too.
They start having elections. Some religious leaders start talking that Sheeba farms are really just pretext for war. So Israel has free Lebanese lawyers in the soon to be the next democratic country in the area. Things are looking up.
Of course, like most people, they are worry that Israel may bomb them. You may think that Israel bomb Lebanon solely due to provocation. The truth is most countries, including Israel, is simply not that righteous.
Check this out:
Politic is far more complicated. We never really know why a country attack another country. If not the 2 kidnappings, Israel can attack again for a bunch of other reason.

Israel got nukes…. Well well well… Just recently I heard that a country got whacked for supposedly owning a WMD. You’re right that Israel can obliterate other countries. And may be you’re right too that countries like Iran will nuke Israel whenever it has a chance.
However, I don’t think countries like Lebanon, Egypt, Dubai, Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Bahrain would do that if they have nukes. To the opposite, I know US will nuke China unless China has nukes too. All those Arab countries have legitimate concern against Israel nukes.
I am not saying that Israel is evil. Evil is relative. I am saying that Israel is about as evil as their neighbor and hence we need to utilise the same suspicion and consistent check and balance schemes we imposed on other Arab countries with Israel.
Neither the Arab nor the Israel should have the upperhand in military power (or nukes) so that one can screw the other profitably.
They may not like Hezbollah. I don’t like Hezbollah. I don’t like people advocating religious interfention in governments. But assholes within are often the only thing that protect us from assholes outside.
No matter what the fairy tales, the fact is Israel bombs civilians in Lebanon. Hezbollah rocket attacks against Israel civilians (destroying property rather than life) is the only thing that prevent Lebanese from being dust.
If you were Lebanese, would you fought those that have protect you to gain favor from those who have bombed you?
You lived in Israel. Given that you’re not Jewish, why not try to live among Palestinians. Economy choking is not very nice.
Yea, Israel says that they choke Palestine’s economy because Palestines’ hit first. It’s more like chicken and egg. I hit you because you hit me and you hit me because I hit you… Bla bla bla bla…

yes of course, they don’t reside your own home, that’s healthy and sane, isn’t that ?
but what if they came with support of the most extrem power that need them to garantee their absolute domination on the earth, it’s a dirty game.
similar to those whome don’t respect their readers and remove their comments just because they doesn’t admire them, another dirty reaction
