Why Moral Issues Become Porn Issues
Think it this way. Say you go to Japan during Tokugawa and found out that the people there believe that the emperor is the descendant of Amaterasu Omikami. Would you expect that Amaterasu indeed have descendants, namely, the Japanese emperor? No. You would expect that such opinions are those favored by the power that be, namely, the Japanese emperor.
What about if you spoke out that there is not enough scientific evidence that the Goddess of sun has a descendant, and it’s all just hoaxes to trick people to pay higher tax. Surely you would be put to death.
Perhaps at the last moment in your life, when you’re being tortured to death, you’re wondering. “I am just trying to tell the truth. Why this people are so mad? Is torturing those with different opinions a way to defend the truth?”
Jesus told the ruling Pharisees that they are hypocrites. Copernicus told the ruling Catholic church that they are wrong. Some Denmark cartoonists make some funny cartoon mocking dangerous religious radicalism and fanaticism.
We know what happen to those who speak their opinion in societies with lack of commitment toward freedom of speech. When you speak your opinion, even if it’s true, or have some truth in it, you’ll piss people off.
That’s because your opinions might offend the interests of those in symbiosis mutualism with cherished prejudices they embrace.
But what interests will motivate people to oppose porn and free sex? It can’t be morality and religions. If that’s the case, then we would have seen far more demonstration demanding heavier punishments against stealing, and robbing.
